Baked Apples

Ingredients

  • 4 red or green apples
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon vegan butter
  • 1/4 cup hot water

Instructions

  • Use a sharp paring knife to carefully remove the top of the apple core. Then use a spoon to scoop out the remaining apple core, be careful not to break through the bottom of the apple.
  • Add the spices, oats and sugar to a small bowl and stir together.
  • Place the apple into a baking dish and fill with the oat mix. Top each apple with a small scoop of vegan butter and fill the dish with the ΒΌ cup of hot water.
  • Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about one hour, until apples are soft to the touch, enjoy!
