Warm olive oil over medium heat in a large, deep saute pan
Add the diced onion and saute for 3 mins
Next add the turkey, stir and cook with a pinch of salt and pepper
Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes
Notes
To make paleo: Swap black beans for ½ pound of more turkey or another meat of choice. To make plant-based: Swap the turkey for three additional 15-ounce cans of beans; I suggest 1 can kidney beans, 1 can black lentils and 1 can white bean!
