When it comes to juicing – the type of juicer you use really does matter to maximize the output of your ingredients and to better retain nutritional value. I use and recommend a slow masticating juicer. For example, HUROM’s H-AI Slow Juicer, which is the only self-feeding juicer on the market. The self-feeding hopper means you can load it up and let the juicer do all the work. This will save you a lot of prepping time. It’s quiet, has low RPMs and a patented slow squeezed technology to help retain the nutritional value of juice ingredients.
Now let’s chat about the different type of juicers. The two most common juicers are known as centrifugal and masticating. A centrifugal juicer has high RPMs, which means that the juicer may heat up and denature nutrients; they are often loud and have a hard time juicing leafy greens. A slow masticating juicer has low RPMs (think cold-pressed juiced) to better retain nutritional value. You can learn more about the different type of juicers in my book, The 5 Day Juicing Diet!
Some additional benefits of HUROM’s H-AI Juicer is the 3-degree tilted chamber and juice outlet which allows you to get every last drop. It also has a vertical pulp outlet to collect pulp at the base of the juicer, making this juice more compact to fit on your kitchen counter. I’m often asked about juice pulp and I recommend composting or using in recipes!
