Dairy-Free Lemon Milkshake

In the mood for milkshake?! Try this delicious dairy-free lemon shake! While most shakes are packed with added sugar, unwanted ingredients and can be highly processed, this shake is made with frozen bananas and our secret veggie ingredient, frozen cauliflower!

It’s creamy, sweet and tangy plus is packed with fiber to help balance blood sugar levels too! I love this shake because my kids can enjoy it too and it’s such a fun sweet treat to have as a family.

Health Benefits from Milkshake

Cauliflower

Cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetable that is full of amazing vitamins and minerals such as folate and vitamin K. One cup of cauliflower contains 3 grams of fiber! This amazing veggie is helpful to aid in digestion and may lower your risk of certain disease such as heart disease and cancer.

Bananas

Did you know that one bananas provides around 9% of your daily Potassium intake? Potassium is an electrolyte that regulates nerve function and also is what helps your muscles contract. Low potassium levels in the body can lead to more severe things such as irregular heart beat.

Lemon

Lemons contain vitamin C, which is important for immune health as well as skin health. Vitamin C helps with the formation of the skin barrier and with the production of collagen. It’s also protective in the aging process.

Dairy-Free Lemon Milkshake

Ingredients

  • 1 Limoneira classic lemon juice & zest
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen cauliflower
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk
  • Non-dairy whipped topping

Instructions

  • Add lemon juice, non-dairy milk, frozen banana and frozen cauliflower into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into a glass and top with whipped topping and lemon zest.
  • Enjoy!
