Stay Hydrated
We all know that we need to drink water and lots of it! But it’s so easy to get caught up with the busyness of the day & before you know it, it’s 3 in the afternoon and you’ve barely had any water. I try and drink a big glass of water first thing in the morning & then keep a water bottle with my all throughout the day. I also love caffeine-free herbal teas which help me drink more water throughout the day, especially during the cold, winter months. Citrus fruits like grapefruit and oranges are water dense & are also a great way to help you stay hydrated. They also contain energizing carbohydrates and just the smell of citrus is uplifting and energizing!
Fresh Air
Staying indoors all day can leave you feeling down and dragging. Fresh air immediately lifts my mood! I try and get outside at least once a day and I notice a big difference in my energy levels when I do!
Exercise
I always feel better when I fit in a workout! Movement helps with blood circulation which can, in turn, improve energy levels, help reduce stress, anxiety and boost mood. Exercise gives you endorphins and endorphins make you happy!
Eat More Plant-Powered Foods
When I’m tired, the last thing I want to do is cook. I’d rather order in! But too much takeout makes my digestion feel sluggish and I end up feeling even worse. Simple foods like bananas and apples contain energizing carbohydrates as well as fiber to help sustain energy levels. Add a dollop of nut butter for some healthy fat and protein which can help balance blood sugar levels and keep you feeling full longer.
Additional foods that can support energy levels include: sweet potatoes, brown rice, dark chocolate, chia seeds, fruit, and beans such as chickpeas, black beans and pinto beans… just to name a few!
Vitamin B12
Chronic fatigue is a common sign of B12 deficiency. This is because B12 helps convert the food you eat into glucose, which gives you energy. Food sources of B12 include salmon, eggs, clams, beef, tuna, nutritional yeast and fortified cereals. If you eat a plant-based, vegan or vegetarian diet it’s possible that you may be low in B12. A visit with your primary care provider is the best way to run a test to confirm your levels. I’ve been taking and loving MegaFood®️B12 – they have a variety of different B12 formulas in both a tablet and a gummy forms. The MegaFood Methyl B12 tablets contain a blend of vitamins B6, active forms of folate and vegan B12 made with real foods to support heart and blood health.* The gummies – B12 Energy Cranberry and B12 Energy Ginger – are delicious and are made with no high-fructose corn syrup, gelatinor added colors, flavors or preservatives, all while working to support cellular energy levels and production.* I have been a fan of MegaFood supplements for years, long before I become a MegaFood ambassador. I love that I can trust the quality and purity of their ingredients.
Methyl B12 supports heart and blood health through methylated (active) forms of folate, B12 and B6, and helps to maintain already healthy levels of homocysteine, an amino acid found in the blood.* These vitamins are delivered with nourishing, real food, and each mini tablet can be taken on an empty stomach, any time throughout the day.

Music!
Simply blasting some fun tunes is a great way to boost your mood. I love to put on music and dance with daughter or listen to upbeat music while I’m working & editing photos
