Hi Friends! Welcome back the HGG Blog! Today we’re chatting all about probiotics and I have a few really easy recipes to share with you featuring Farmhouse Culture Gut Shots! These Gut Shots are probiotics paired with additional nourishing ingredients such as Ginger & Beets! They are USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Plant-Based Vegan, Dairy-Free & Gluten-Free! What Are Probiotics?
Probiotics are the “good bacteria” that live on and around us – some of which are naturally found in our bodies, and some of which can be attained by eating live, probiotic-rich foods. Ginger Beet Orange SmoothiePrint Recipe
- 3 tablespoons Farmhouse Culture Ginger Beet Gut Shot
- ¼ cup water
- 1 Cara Cara orange peed (or Navel Orange)
- 1 ripe banana peeled
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 2 tablespoons flax seeds
- 1/2 tablespoon raw local honey or real maple syrup
- 1 cup ice
- Add all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend for 30-45 seconds.
Classic Caraway Seed Salad DressingPrint Recipe
- ½ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup Farmhouse Culture Classic Gut Shot
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon real maple syrup
- pinch of salt & pepper
- Whisk all ingredients together and enjoy with your favorite fresh green salad!
Garlic Dill Pickle MarinadePrint Recipe
- ¼ cup coconut oil or olive oil
- ½ cup Farmhouse Culture Garlic Dill Pickle Gut Shot
- 1 tablespoon raw local honey or real maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- Mix all ingredients together and use to marinate vegetables for at least 30 mins. You can grill, roast or even eat the marinated veggies raw!
Kimchi Teriyaki SaucePrint Recipe
- ⅓ cup liquid aminos or soy sauce
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup organic sugar
- 1 teaspoon grated/minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated/minced ginger
- 1 ½ tablespoon arrowroot powder or cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons Farmhouse Culture Kimchi Gut Shot
- Mix all ingredients, except the Kimchi Gut Shot, together in a small saucepan and warm over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once all the sugar has melted and the mixture starts to simmer, turn off heat and let cool. After the sauce cools add the Kimchi Gut Shot and stir together. Serve with brown rice and sauteed or raw veggies!
Smoked Jalapeno Sriracha Buffalo Cauliflower Florets ‘Wings’Print Recipe
- ¼ cup sriracha
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- ¼ teaspoon paprika or cayenne for extra heat
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- pinch of sea salt
- ¼ cup Smoked Jalapeno Gut Shot
- 1 head cauliflower
- 2 tablespoons rice flour optional
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove cauliflower stem and separate florets into to ‘wing’ size pieces, wash & partially dry florets.
- In a brown paper or gallon ziploc add the florets and rice flour, close bag and shake until florets are evenly coated with the rice flour. Note, this step is optional, it provides a little crispiness to the ‘wings.’
- Add one tablespoon of cooking oil to a baking dish and lay out the florets with room around each one, this helps them to roast evenly. Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes, rotating at least once.
- Meanwhile mix all other ingredients together.
- When florets are roasted, toss in sauce and serve immediately.
